Mount Calvary Baptist Church Nurses Health Background, Outreach, and Mission
Pastor Jeffrey A. Dennis has been the pastor for Mount Calvary Baptist church since 1988. Mount Calvary Baptist Church (MCBC), organized in 1936, is a church that is not just concerned about its members, but is concerned about the members of the community. Pastor Dennis, MCBC, and Minority Behavioral Health Group (MBHG) have addressed many social justice issues that impact the African American community: education, mental health and drug abuse concerns, housing disparities, food deserts, the juvenile justice system, mother-to-son program, and economic development. MCBC has established and provides a plethora of ministries and other collaborations with local, government, medical, non-profit, and institutions of higher learning.

The Mount Calvary Baptist Church Nurse’s Ministry is dedicated to provide current and accurate health-related information that focuses on disease prevention. The health information will empower our congregation and community to maintain a level of wellness that will enhance their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. In addition, we will provide comfort and support to the Pastor, members, and visitors during services or special events. We labor in love and strive for excellence in all that we do for the glory and honor of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
